Positioned in Subiaco’s most desirable pocket, known locally as “the golden triangle”, this adorable little home is located on Park Street, one of Subiaco’s most sought after streets for real estate with it’s collection of historic cottages and semi-detached homes together with some interesting more modern homes. Park Lane cottage is a delightful little house. Originally built in 1903 as a “workers cottage” for the timber industry which thrived in Subiaco through the late 1800’s until early 1900’s, Park Lane cottage has seen many renovations and restorations in it’s more than 100 year history. Now complete with sparkling white modern open plan kitchen which opens up the entire width of the house to a north facing rear deck overlooking a courtyard garden. There is also a lovely bathroom, also sparking white. The central lounge room is in keeping with the character of the home (except for the large flat screen TV) and has comfortable traditional leather furniture and a wonderful natural gas coal fire which springs to life with the press of a button. Wifi and AppleTV is provided. (ps Parklane has 2 steps down in the passage way.)
The house has it’s own street frontage with undercover parking for 1 vehicle at the rear. It has two bedrooms, 1 with a queen bed and the other with a double.
Only 2 doors from the house is Richard Diggins park, a wonderful green space which is a mecca for locals with their dogs and children. It also has some wonderful quiet times during the day and is the perfect spot to sit on a park bench or on the lush green lawns and read a book, or just sit and take in the clear blue skies and wonderful weather which we are so proud of here in our lovely city of Perth.
Park Street runs west to Rokeby Road, which is one of Perth’s favourite shopping areas with restaurants, coffee shops, hotels, fashion, supermarkets and fresh food markets, all within a very short walk from the house.
Our properties are all fully “self catered” – once you arrive and settle in we won’t interrupt you with cleaning and servicing. If you would like your bed made and your house cleaned, please let us know and we would be happy to come and do your housework for you at a cost of $100 per time. If you would just like a quick tidy up and your beds made, it would be $40 per hour.
The house is also located centrally and close to 5 major hospitals – St John of God, King Edward Memorial, Princess Margaret Children’s Hospital, Sir Charles Gardiner and Royal Perth. It is only a short walk to Domain Stadium (formerly Subiaco Oval), 2km to the Perth CBD and 5km to delightful Matilda Bay and the University of Western Australia. Also just a short distance away are the Perth Convention Centre, the new Perth Arena complex, the Perth Theatre Centre, His Majesty’s Theatre, the Perth Museum and the Art Gallery of Western Australia.
Without fail, the best part about Subiaco, and in particular this area of Subiaco, is the close proximity to all the services you could want or need. Plus the friendly local community. You will be nestled in amongst historic residential homes, large and small, fancy and quaint, strong and remodelled or slightly worn and a bit crooked – the area abounds in character. Full of restaurants, cafes, shops, parks and friendly locals, you will love your stay in Subiaco, whether for business or holiday.
Trains and buses are also close by for that visit to any of Perth’s fabulous iconic pristine beaches or perhaps the historic port city of Fremantle.

We charge a $150 cleaning/linen surcharge on all bookings.
There is also a $50 security bond charged on all bookings. This bond will be happily refunded to you via direct debit shortly after you have departed and we have undertaken an inventory and cleaned the house. No security bond will be withheld unless we have entered into, or attempted to enter into discussions with you first. The bond will only be withheld in cases of damage, theft or extra cleaning if required. Please see “Cleaning” section on our Booking Enquiry page.
Once your booking has been received and confirmed and payment has been made, refunds will only be given if notice is received in writing prior to 7 days before your booking was due to commence.
We do have a 3 night minimum, but please feel free to check with us as we are more than happy to do less than 3 nights if we can fit you in with other bookings.
